With over 15 years of experience in estate planning and probate practice representing individuals, families and business owners, Joan implements estate and lifetime plans that aid families in the transition of family assets and businesses to younger generations. Joan has special interest and expertise in charitable planning and has assisted clients in the implementation of charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, donor advised funds and gift annuities. She has also established private foundations for clients who wish to involve their family members in their philanthropic endeavors.
Joan believes in listening carefully to the wishes of her clients regarding the ultimate disposition of their assets and in crafting an estate plan that will facilitate those wishes in a tax effective manner.
Joan volunteers with several animal related charities, including Helping Paws, Inc., an organization that provides service dogs for physically disabledpersons. Joan is a past Board Member of Helping Paws and is currently training a service dog for them.
